How long does business formation take?
Processing times depend on the state, entity type, and filing options you select. You can follow your order’s progress in the portal. State approval is required before your formation is complete.
What does Express Filings do?

How do I check whether a business name is available?
Use our name-check page to enter a business name and state. The check is preliminary — it tells you whether anything obvious stands in the way, not what the state will decide. Before we file anything for you we confirm availability with the state itself, at no charge, and tell you if the name needs to change.

How do I know what a filing will cost?
You see two numbers before you pay: the fee the state charges, and ours. State fees are quoted at the current published rate, and if a state changes it between your quote and the filing we tell you rather than absorbing it quietly.
Can I see the status of a filing?
Yes. Every order has a stage you can see in the portal, the documents the state returns are filed against the entity they belong to, and the people you have given access to are emailed as it moves.
